Ghosts I-IV Released on the Web

The latest disc from Nine Inch Nails, Ghosts I-IV, has been released on the Internet.

Trent Reznor and his band are using the Internet to launch their new material.  The disc is called Ghosts I-IV and can be downloaded by clicking hereBillboard reports that the CD will be available in stores on April 8, thanks to RED Distribution.

On the Internet, you can listen to 9 of the 36 songs without a charge.  The songs were recorded last fall during ten intensive weeks for the band.  For $5, you can download the album in its entirety.  A special version has also been created for the band’s fans.

Reznor said, "I’ve been considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years, but by its very nature it wouldn’t have made sense until this point."

"This collection of music is the result of working from a very visual perspective — dressing imagined locations and scenarios with sound and texture; a soundtrack for daydreams. I’m very pleased with the result and the ability to present it directly to you without interference," added the Nine Inch Nails singer.

Nine Inch Nails’ record contract with Interscope expired last October, which allowed the Cleveland band to launch their disc in this manner.
