Giorgio Armani chosen by Lady Gaga

Italian fashion house selected by theatrical pop singer to design Monster Ball tour wardrobe.

Lady Gaga has selected Giorgio Armani to design her outfits for the upcoming leg of her Monster Ball tour, reports Billboard.biz. Known for her outrageous style, the 24-year-old theatrical pop singer will return to her tour in 2011 with an all-new wardrobe from the Italian designer.

The last time Gaga and Armani paired up at the 2010 Grammy Awards, they made headlines when Gaga rotated through several unusual Armani creations.

This new endeavour will include a structured outfit embroidered in diamanté, one beribboned, lobster-inspired get-up, and a reflective mini-dress paired with a patent leather trenchcoat. All footwear and eyewear will also be provided exclusively by Armani.

On the road since November 2009, the tour is set to wrap up in May of next year. The shows had been completely revised in the 2010, increasing the size of the stage and creating a more spectacular musical production. By the time the tour wraps up, it is expected to gross almost $200 million worldwide.

Due to high demand for her sold out shows, the singer is returning to North America February 19, to kick off her 2011 Monster Ball tour in Atlantic City. She will be playing Toronto and Ottawa in early March, with a stop in Montreal in April.

Her next album, Born This Way, is due out in early 2011, with the first single to be released in February.
