Gisele Bündchen models for Isabel Marant

Brazilian supermodel poses for French designer’s 2011 spring-summer collection.

French fashion designer Isabel Marant has chosen Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen to be the face of the brand’s new spring-summer 2011 advertising campaign spring, reports Elle.

The Brazilian goes to the beach for the new Isabel Marant campaign, shot by photographers Inez and Vinoodh. With tousled beach hair, cropped knitted sweater and shell-like accessories, the innocent-looking Gisele is unusually covered up.

In choosing Bündchen for this new campaign, the brand hopes to continue raising its international profile, and increase its status in the luxury fashion market around the globe. As the muse of Isabel Marant, Bündchen replaces another high profile face, British supermodel Kate Moss, who modelled the brand’s fall-winter 2010 ad campaign.

This is not the only spring-summer designer campaign that Bündchen has posed for — she also stars in Balenciaga’s new advertising campaign, which was shot by photographer Steven Meisel. Ever versatile, Gisele played with androgyny for Balenciaga and then the girl next door for Isabel Marant, what will be next?

The stunning beauty has been the face of several upscale designers, including Christian Dior, and lingerie company Victoria’s Secret.

Bündchen has a one-year-old son, Benjamin, with husband, football player Tom Brady. According to Forbes business magazine, she is the highest-paid model in the world and also the sixteenth richest woman in the entertainment world. Bündchen also acts as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme.
