Givenchy unveils Dahlia Noir

Esteemed fashion house introduces elegant and dangerously seductive new fragrance.

The new Dahlia Noir eau de parfum is named for an imaginary flower, but its seductive qualities are very real to lovers of high-end fragrances.

Dahlia Noir is a powdery floral, with notes of pink pepper, mandarin, mimosa, rose, iris, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean. The fragrance comes in a sophisticated bottle with the Dahlia Noir name engraved on a polished silver plate, reports Vogue.

While often choosing celebrities to promote their fragrances, Givenchy has decided instead to make 17-year-old Italian model Mariacarla Boscono the face of this alluring fragrance. Boscono has appeared in fashion campaigns for Chanel, D&G, Jean Paul Gaultier and Fendi. Having recently taken time away from the catwalks and cameras, the Dahlia Noir campaign marks her comeback to the world of fashion.

Fans of Givenchy will remember that the fashion house featured Liv Tyler in their campaign for Dahlia Noir predecessor, Very Irresistible, earlier this year. Actress Uma Thurman was connected to their Angel or Demon fragrance, while singer Justin Timberlake posed for Play.

Dahlia Noir will be launched at the end of August and available as a 30, 50 and 75 mL eau de parfum. Givenchy have also created an accompanying body care collection.
