Attention, Gleeks! Be sure to put this on your list for Santa: Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album. That’s right, the cast of Glee is striking while the iron is hot. While the popularity of the televisions show is sky-high, the cast has smartly planned to release a holiday album.
Weekly shows have been followed with the release of mini-soundtracks of songs performed by the Glee cast. Each release has a boomerang effect on sales of songs featured on the show.So it’s not surprising to learn that the stars of Glee will perform traditional holiday songs on the Christmas album which launches November 16.
Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album will include standard holiday songs like O Christmas Tree, Jingle Bells, O Holy Night, as well as a few rarities. Among the surprises: You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, from the popular 1966 cartoon, sung by Matthew Morrison and Canadian k.d. lang.
