Glittering Swarovski crystal-printed wallpaper

Swarovski Elements launches first collection of wallpapers in collaboration with designer Karen Beauchamp.

What will they think of next? Crystal manufacturer Swarovski has collaborated with British designer Karen Beauchamp to develop the first collection of crystal-studded wallpaper, reports Le Blog Luxe.

The British are certainly fond of their wallpaper, and Beauchamp’s designs offer an update on classics like Kohinoor Damask, Diamond Trellis, Venetian Stripe, Jeweled Stripe, and Plume.

The luxurious papers feature sparkling crystals aligned on backgrounds of velvet flock, mirror-like foil, and a covered ink that looks like metallic leather.

Nine opulent patterns feature Swarovski’s ‘crystal printing’ and two coordinating plain wallpapers are all available in a range of colors. The glitzy wallpaper rolls retail between $450 and $1,185.

In January, Swarovski entered the perfume market with the launch their first fragrance Aura, partnering with French cosmetics company Clarins. Conceptually, Aura attempts to express the soul of crystal, which is light, says Markus Langes-Swarovski, a member of the Swarovski board and the great-great grandson of the company’s founder, Daniel Swarovski.

Swarovski’s first fragrance was created by perfumer Jean-Pierre and Olivier Bethouart Cresp of Firmenich, and is composed of notes of amber, benzoin, white musk, lychee, white tuberose and pink pepper.

The Aura perfume bottles are made of glass and metal, topped with asymmetrical Swarovski crystal components attached to the bottle.
