Golden Globe Nominees Revealed

The film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has become a finalist in five categories for the 2008 Golden Globe Awards.

The films The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon and Doubt each earned five nominations for the Golden Globe Awards.

Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt, was nominated for the best dramatic film of the year, along with Frost/Nixon, The Reader, Revolutionary Road and Slumdog Millionaire.

Pitt was nominated for the best dramatic actor, as well as Leonardo DiCaprio for Revolutionary Road, Frank Langella for Frost/Nixon, Sean Penn for Milk and Mickey Rourke for The Wrestler.

For the women in the dramatic film category, the nominees are: Anne Hathaway for Rachel getting Married, Angelina Jolie for Changeling, Meryl Streep for Doubt, Kristin Scott Thomas for Il y a longtemps que je t’aime and Kate Winslet for Revolutionary Road.

Kate Winslet and Meryl Streep are also finalists in another category: Winslet for best supporting actress in The Reader and Meryl Streep for best actress in a comedy or musical for Mamma Mia!.

The deceased actor, Heath Ledger, was nominated in the category of best supporting actor for The Dark Knight.

The summer success, WALL-E, and the films Bolt, and Kung Fu Panda made the top picks for best animated feature film.

The Golden Globe Awards ceremony will take place on January 11.
