A grandmother found cocaine in her Nature Valley granola bar but thought she had won a competition.
Cynthia Rodriguez, 60, said she found the Class A drug inside a small plastic bag emblazoned with dollar signs tucked inside the bar’s wrapper, but first called Nature Valley, before being told to contact the police.
Speaking to ABC News, she said: ”The police tested it and said, ‘Congratulations, this is high-quality cocaine!”’
The narcotics unit is following up on the case, and Nature Valley manufacturer General Mills said it was confident the cocaine wasn’t packaged with the bar in a company factory.
