Green Day music is being promoted in all sorts of ways. There’s the musical comedy American Idiot (based on the album of the same name) set to open on Broadway. There’s Green Day: Rock Band. Then there’s an August tour to continue promoting 21st Century Breakdown. Released almost a year ago, the band is still travelling around the world promoting this album.
Green Day will cross the border on this tour and perform one show on August 18 at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto.
What is really getting people talking is a blank space on the tour’s schedule that falls between the group’s August 5th show in Buffalo and an August 9th stop in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Rumours are growing that Green Day will perform at the Lollapalooza Festival. It is taking place from August 6-9 in Chicago. A festival line-up will be announced on April 6 so we will have to wait and see if the rumours are based on fact or not.
Green Day also promises to add more shows to this upcoming tour.
