Gucci Loves Children’s Books

Gucci was inspired by children’s books for a new charity campaign.

This year, the fashion house is commemorating the fifth anniversary of its fundraising campaign for UNICEF. This time, the company has drawn inspiration from the kids’ tale, Snowman in Paradise, by Michael Roberts.

On December 2, the label celebrated the occasion during a cocktail party held at its Paris boutique on Montaigne Avenue. Author Michael Roberts was there to promote his new book, Snowman in Africa, being sold exclusively in Gucci boutiques until the end of the year. All profits from the sale of the book will go to UNICEF.

To commemorate Gucci’s anniversary, creative director Frida Giannini designed accessories and a special giftcard for UNICEF, inspired directly from Roberts’ character. Two new handbags, a wristlet and a Gucci Joy coin purse are among the items being offered. A quarter of the profits will go to UNICEF.
