Gwyneth Paltrow wants to collaborate with Jay-Z

Country Strong actress says she is rapper’s biggest fan.

Actress-turned-singer Gwyneth Paltrow would like to collaborate with rapper Jay-Z, reports Adobuzz.

"I think we’d be a good combination. He is a genius – and I’m his biggest fan," Paltrow said during a red carpet interview at last Sunday’s Academy Awards, where she was on-hand to perform the song Coming Home from her recent film Country Strong.

Paltrow’s husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, has worked with Jay-Z in the past, appearing on the rapper’s 2006 album, Kingdom Come, and performing on stage with him last September.

When asked how Martin would feel about his wife working with the rap star, Paltrow replied: "I think very happy."

Thanks to her appearances on the popular television show Glee, Paltrow has already had two songs on the Billboard Hot 100 – her cover of Cee Lo Green’s Forget You and the mash-up of Rihanna’s Umbrella with musical classic Singin’ in the Rain.

"My parts were usually quite serious and I was looking for something fun and different to do," Paltrow says, of her decision to appear on the hit TV show. Paltrow will reprise her role as substitute teacher Holly Holiday in the March 8th episode.
