Hailee Steinfeld becomes MaxMara’s Face of the Future

Actress Hailee Steinfeld has won the 2013 Face of the Future prize from Italian fashion house MaxMara as part of its Women in Film awards.

Hailee Steinfeld has been named MaxMara’s 2013 Face of the Future.

The young actress is being honoured by the Italian fashion house with the annual Women in Film prize, which is given to rising actresses, and she also sat front row at the brand’s autumn/winter 2013-14 fashion show in Milan, Italy today (21.02.13).

The award – which has previously been won by Emily Blunt, Chloe Moretz and Katie Holmes – is reserved for a film or TV actress "experiencing a turning point in her career" and is considered as being an "embodiment of style and grace".

The ‘True Grit’ star will receive her prize at the 2013 Crystal + Lucy Awards in June.

Hailee, 16 – who is set to play Juliet in Julian Fellowes’ adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ – recently revealed that her favourite fashion designer is Prabal Gurung.

She said: "I love Prabal Gurung, so he’s always an option. I remember sitting in the front row to watch his show at fashion week and the music came on and all these gorgeous clothes had such a message.

"All these strong-willed women- holding their own – walking down his runway looked as gorgeous as ever. I walked away feeling like that’s what I’d feel like when I would put his clothes on."
