Best known for his role in The Sixth Sense, Haley Joel Osment, who has been out of the limelight in most recent years, has been mainly doing the voices for characters in the films such as, The Jungle Book 2 and The Country Bears.
Now aged 20, Osment has accepted a role in the historic drama Truth & Treason, which will be directed by Matt Whitaker (Truth & Conviction).
Osment will play Helmuth Hübener, a young rebellious teen who decides to join the anti-Nazi German resistance during World War II. Hübener is the youngest rebel to have been condemned to the guillotine by the Nazis.
Max von Sydow (Rush Hour 3) has also joined the cast.
Filming is set to begin next spring.
