Billboard.com reports that the Boss and his band will be entertaining the crowd at the next Super Bowl halftime show in Tampa Bay, Florida on February 1, 2009.
The football extravaganza, that draws in over 148 million American TV spectators, will be aired in 230 countries.
Several artists, including Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, U2 and Janet Jackson have been the featured musical acts of the past Super Bowl games.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will just be wrapping up their tour, promoting the album Magic, released in 2007.
