Just last week, Celine Dion said she was hopeful and waiting for good news. Well, the good news has arrived.
Dion’s American spokesperson, Kim Jackwerth, told People magazine that the 42-year old singer is pregnant with twins.
After a miscarriage and several unsuccessful IVF attempts, the sixth time was the charm for Celine and her husband, René Angélil.
Angélil said, "We’re ecstatic. Celine is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing."
The superstar is apparently 14 weeks pregnant. She even received acupuncture treatments to improve her chances of conceiving. She will find out the sexes of the babies next month.
This happy news could change the singer’s plans. She was scheduled to move back to Las Vegas to start a new show starting in March 2011.
The couple already have a 9-year old son, René-Charles.
