The former couple had a hearing yesterday in a Superior Court in Los Angeles to establish custody of their children.
The hearing was cancelled because Spears was admitted to a rehabilitation clinic, Promises, yesterday in Malibu.
Spears, 25, and Federline have two children Jayden James, 5 months, and Sean Preston, 17 months.
