People magazine reported that actor Heath Ledger and actress Michelle Williams split up after three years together.
A source close to the couple stated, "It was rocky for awhile.They did what they could to make it work."
The source did maintain that it was an amicable breakup. The couple met during the filming of Brokeback Mountain in 2004. They have a daughter, Matilda, who was born in 2005.
