According to Moviehole, Ledger won’t be part of the cast for Dirty Music. It is the film adaptation of Tim Winton’s recent book. Director, Phillip Noyce confirmed this change in the cast.
Noyce explained, "He’s doing The Joker, instead." Australian actor Ledger, 27, (Batman Returns, The Dark Knight), will not be part of the film opposite actresses such as Rachel Weisz. Weisz will have the starring female part in Dirty Music.
The movie takes place in Australia. Luther Fox is a man that makes a living fishing illegally. His life changes when he meets the wife of the richest fisherman in the area.
