Locklear, 44, and Sambora, 45, have been married for eleven years and have an 8 year-old daughter, Ava Elizabeth.
"This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time," Locklear’s representative, CeCe Yorke, said in a statement.
Heather Locklear was discovered in 1981 when she played Sammy Jo Dean Carrington on the television series Dynasty. In the 1990s she starred in Melrose Place and Spin City.
Locklear was previously married to Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee.
