Heavy Metal Tour Cancelled

The American Carnage Tour, featuring heavy metal hard hitters Slayer, Megadeth and Testament, has been canned.

The tour, which was scheduled to begin on January 18 in Seattle, Washington, has been called off due to medical reasons.  It seems that Tom Araya, the singer and bassist for Slayer, has to have back surgery.

Megadeth hasn’t wasted any time in announcing that they will soon unveil plans for their own tour for March and April.  The group doesn’t want to disappoint their fans who were looking forward to seeing them take the stage this winter.  The tour was being hyped as one of the heaviest metal tours of all time.

The American Carnage tour will likely maintain the summer schedule as planned.  Although nothing has been officially confirmed, it’s a safe bet that metal markets such as Houston, Chicago and Detroit in the US, as well as Montreal, Toronto, Quebec, London, Moncton and Halifax, will still get to host the rockers later in the year.
