Hedley takes Canada by storm

No fewer than 18 stops are planned on Hedley’s tour of their home and native land.

If you like watching Hedley videos, you now have a chance to see the group’s energy live on stage. The band, originally from Abbotsford, British Columbia, just announced an 18-stop Canadian tour.

The Hedley tour will cover five provinces with 11 concerts in Ontario alone. It kicks off on June 30 in Bala, Ontario. The group has one planned stop in the province in Quebec. They are heading to the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region to perform at the Festivalalma in Alma on July 10.

This new series of shows announced by Hedley will help the band continue to promote its 2009 release The Show Must Go On.

Hedley is a colourful group whose lead singer and frontman Jacob Hoggard finished third on the second season of Canadian Idol. The group is nominated for six awards at the upcoming MuchMusic Video Awards taking place on June 20. Only rapper Drake has more nods with seven nominations. Hedley has been nominated 16 times since 2007, an indication of just how popular their videos are.
