Helena Bonham Carter in Terminator Salvation

Helena Bonham Carter could be joining the cast of the next Terminator.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that British actress Helena Bonham Carter is in talks about playing a role in Terminator Salvation, being directed by McG (We Are Marshall).

Although her role is unknown, she would play a small but crucial character.

Christian Bale, Anton Yelchin, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood, Common and Bryce Dallas Howard have already begun filming the fourth James Cameron saga.

Shooting began last month in New Mexico, in hopes that the majority of the outdoor scenes would be shot before the potential actors’ strike would begin. Warner Bros. is aiming to release the film in May 2009.

Meanwhile, Helena Bonham Carter can be seen resuming her role as Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, coming to theatres in November.
