Supermodel Elle ‘The Body’ Macpherson has added bridal lingerie to her Elle Macpherson Intimates collection, reports Coco Perez.
The new bridal collection contains 14 pieces – including underwear and bra sets, corsets, garters and silk camisoles –available in a palette of cream, white, and lemon. Designed for women of all sizes, the line accommodates curvier brides up to a G-cup.
Macpherson said her aim was to create a line of bridal intimates that "makes the bride feel extra beautiful on the day," she revealed during an interview with Women’s Wear Daily yesterday (May 23).
She added that the collection was aimed at "women with their own sense of style, even more so on their wedding day."
The Australian beauty first introduced the main collection, Elle Macpherson Intimates, in 1990. Arriving in stores on the heels of the royal wedding and just in time for peak wedding season, the new bridal items are expected to retail from $31 to $100 each.
Macpherson is the latest of several lingerie designers creating new collections that will appeal to the influx of summer brides.
Victoria’s Secret recently announced that they would be launching their own bridal-themed collection, Sexy Little Bride.
"There’s nothing better than feeling sexy and having sexy lingerie under your beautiful gown," said spokesmodel Lily Aldridge in a behind-the-scenes video. "And having it for later on in the evening."
