The album, created by the charity, features several artists, including Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, Duffy and Hot Chip. NME.com reports that the disc will not be released in November as originally planned.
War Child has decided to delay the album’s release because more artists have offered to contribute to the project.
The charity released a statement, saying, "We have been overwhelmed and amazed by the response to the project. The wealth of talent who have contacted us wishing to support the charity and contribute to the album is humbling and we are delighted to have been able to change our deadlines to accommodate some of them. It was impossible to say no."
The album will feature songs by music legends being performed by selected modern artists.
