Singer-actress Hilary Duff and her beau Mike Comrie got married on Saturday (August 14) during an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
People reports the 22-year old Lizzie McGuire star and the 29-year old Edmonton Oilers hockey player exchanged vows at sunset at the Mediterranean Villa La Quinta. There were about 100 guests in attendance.
An eyewitness told the magazine: "Mike held his arm around Hilary for most of the romantic, candlelit ceremony, and they both looked extremely happy."
The bride wore a mermaid wedding gown by Vera Wang. The maid-of-honour was her sister, Haylie Duff. Big sis posted a message on Twitter: "What a special weekend filled with love and beautiful memories."
The newly married Mr. and Mrs. Comrie spent their wedding night at the historic San Ysidro Ranch, the same spot where late U.S. President John F. Kennedy spent his honeymoon with wife Jacqueline.
The couple got engaged in February in Hawaii after dating since 2007.
