People reports that Hilary Duff had no idea an engagement ring was in the cards when she took a trip to Hawaii with her boyfriend.
Her sister, Haylie Duff, says, "She was completely surprised. I don’t think that happens all the time. I think most of the time people figure it out or have some idea that it’s going to happen, and I think it’s great he was able to do a surprise like that for her."
It seems the whole Duff family was surprised by Mike Comrie’s marriage proposal. The 29-year old hockey player has been dating the actress-singer for more than two years.
Haylie Duff adds, "I adore him. He’s wonderful."
Marriage details have not been released. Her older sister says, "They just got engaged a few days ago. I don’t even know if she’s thinking of the wedding yet."
The couple are often seen at premieres and Duff has become a big hockey fan. She admitted she bought Hockey for Dummies to better understand her boyfriend. She has attended many games since they started going out.
