Swank will be starring in the new thriller, The Resident, according to Variety.
The actress will play a doctor who moves into a Brooklyn loft. She soon discovers that she’s not home alone, and that the owner is a stalker.
Antti J. Jokinen, who has directed music videos (Celine Dion, Eminem), will make his directorial film debut with the project. He also co-wrote the story with Robert Orr. Erin Cressida Wilson wrote the screenplay. Filming is set to begin in May on the East Coast of the US.
We can next see Hilary Swank in the film, Amelia. The film recounts the life of aviator Amelia Earhart, and opens in theatres on October 23, 2009.
