Hilary Swank To Star in Horror Film

Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank is in negotiations to star in the horror film The Reaping for Warner Bros. Pictures and Dark Castle Entertainment.

Dark Castle is being made by filmmakers Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis.

The story is supernatural tale centering on a myth debunker (Swank), who travels to a small, religious town in Texas to investigate strange events that appear to be the 10 biblical plagues.

James Cox is directing the script.

Dark Castle has turned out such horror films as House on Haunted Hill, Thirteen Ghosts, Ghost Ship, and Gothika.

Swank is currently preparing to start work on The Black Dahlia for Brian De Palma.  This year, she won the Oscar for best actress for Million Dollar Baby.  She had previously won the same award for Boys Don’t Cry in 2000.
