A few days earlier, Swank had helped a woman with her groceries. When the police officer pulled the actress over, he said, "Ms. Swank… You know what, you were speeding… but I’m gonna let you off for being a Good Samaritan. I was at that bakery when you got behind the counter and helped that woman, that happened to be the judge of Malibu."
