H&M Goes Green

The retailer H&M plans to use recycled material for a new collection.

According to FemaleFirst, the chain has announced plans to introduce a new collection in the spring made from recycled materials.

The Swiss company is developing a new fabric made of waste.  Polyester fabric will be made from recycled bottles or textiles, while cotton clothing will be recycled as well.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s head of design, says that the company is proud to offer the new items, "that are both fashionable and environmentally friendly."
