H&M started moving in a green direction years ago by using more natural and organic materials in its clothing.
Next month, the clothing chain will go one step further. It is responding to an increasing demand for organic products by its clients.
H&M will offer a range of cosmetic products under the Ecocert banner, including toiletry bags made from organic cotton and available in two sizes and two colours.
The head of design at H&M, Ann-Sofie Johansson said, "We have offered organic cotton garments for some years now, so it was natural to make a new step in this direction."
The new organic line includes shower gel, body scrub, body cream, hand cream and lip balm. It will be available in two scents, raspberry/melon and lavender/mint. Packaging is completely recyclable.
Ecocert joins the growing collection of organic products offered by H&M. The company is proving that it is possible to create fashion while respecting the environment.
