Hollywood Is Closer to Going on Strike

The Hollywood actors union is getting closer than ever to going on strike, and is asking for the authorisation of its members.

In December, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) will send authorisation forms to its 120 000 members to form a strike.

The union hopes to obtain enough votes to embark on a strike in January, if it becomes necessary.

However, the Screen Actors Guild says that they still hope to come to an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers, which would please everyone and not halt production.
