Hop Farm Festival confirms Prince, Eagles, and Morrissey

Star-studded line-up for British summer music festival.

The Hop Farm Festival in Kent, England – about 64 km south-east of London – has confirmed headliners for the July music festival.

In its fourth consecutive year, the festival confirmed the following headliners: Prince, The Eagles, and Morrissey. This will be a return of sorts for Prince, who has not been on an English stage since 2007, and it will also be the only chance for fans to see him in the U.K. this year.

The star-studded list of performers taking the stage before crowds of up to 53,000 will also include Patti Smith, Iggy and the Stooges, Lou Reed, Bryan Ferry, 10cc, Human League, and Death Cab for Cutie, with more names still to be announced.

The Hop Farm Festival begins Friday afternoon, July 1, and ends Sunday, July 3. Although a newcomer to the British festival scene, the popular annual music event is held on 400 acres in the beautiful Kent countryside.

The concept of the Hop Farm Music Festival was conceived and organized by Vince Power in 2008. Since then, names like Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Florence and the Machine have all played. With a tagline ‘No Sponsorship, No Branding,’ the festival also admits children under 12 free.

“I am really excited about having Prince at the Hop Farm, and we hope that fans will appreciate the integrity of the bill and see it’s one of the most musically exciting this year,” said Power.
