How to smell like a top model

America’s Next Top Model to launch fragrance.

Last week on reality TV show America’s Next Top Model, each contestant was asked to design and promote their own fragrance. Now life is imitating art with the show’s fragrance debut, Dream Come True, reports the Daily Mail.

Creative director of the licensing company Beauty Hatch, Ben Bennett, said he was inspired by the kind of feelings the winner of the contest might feel. He told WWD: “That is an exciting, heartfelt moment of the show when you know for one of those girls their life is going to change. So, we knew we wanted to bring that to life.”

“If you were announced as winner of the show, it would be an optimistic, sweet moment,” he explained. “In thinking about the customer, we know she loves fantasy. That is what the show is all about. We wanted there to be a very sweet, ethereal sensibility to the fragrance.”

Targeted at women in their mid-teens to early thirties, the perfume has a fruity, floral scent including notes of red currant, pink freesia, peony and vanilla.

“The concept of ‘Dream Come True’ is something anyone can relate to,” he added. “You are always hoping for something.”

Dream Come True will be available exclusively at Target in January, affordably priced at $12.99 for 1 oz (30 ml) eau de toilette.
