Hugh Grant To Be Charmed by a Director

Hugh Grant will be charmed by a Chinese director.

According to Variety, Hugh Grant will play in a film by Danish director, Susanne Bier (Things We Lost in the Fire), in Lost for Words.

Grant plays a British actor who gets approached by a Chinese filmmaker to star in her film. While flirting with the translator, he realizes that he actually has feelings for the director, whom Ziyi Zhang (Memoirs of a Geisha) will play.

Unfortunately for Grant’s character, the translator is the only one who can communicate with the director and the young woman has her own ulterior motives.

The screenplay was written by Jamie Curtis (Spice World) and Dan Mazer (Borat). Richard Curtis, Jamie’s brother, is the executive producer and  previously collaborated with Grant in Bridget Jones and Notting Hill.
