Hulk Hogan launches $100 million lawsuit

Hulk Hogan is suing website Gawker for $100 million over their publishing a segment of his leaked sex tape.

Hulk Hogan is suing for $100 million over his leaked sex tape.

The wrestling legend launched lawsuits today (15.10.12) against his former friend DJ Bubba the Love Sponge, and his ex-wife Heather Clem – who stars with him in the video – as well as website Gawker, where a 90 second clip taken from the tape was first published.

The lawsuit seeks $100 million in damages from Gawker as well as unspecified damages from Bubba and Heather for recording Hulk without permission.

The ‘TNA IMPACT Wrestling’ star’s lawyer said the actions of those involved in leaking the tape were "illegal, outrageous, and exceeded the bounds of human decency."

The lawyers were also calling for any copies of the tape to be handed over to them to be destroyed forever.

Gawker has previously said it received the footage on a burned DVD from an anonymous source who wanted no payment for it.

A lawyer for Bubba said he was very hurt the tape has been leaked and he wants to make amends with Hulk, real name Terry Bollea.

Stephen Diaco told the New York Daily News: "Our position, and Terry knows this, is that Bubba is a victim here too.

"I don’t know how you sue a victim. Let’s see how it all plays out. Bubba loves Terry, the best man at his wedding. They’re best friends for a lifetime. Bubba would literally take a bullet for the guy."

It is still unknown how the sex tape leaked, but it has suggested it could have been done by a disgruntled ex-employee of Bubba.
