I am model, hear me roar

Givenchy brings out the animal in Naomi Campbell.

French fashion house Givenchy has unveiled the first image of their new fall campaign, featuring none other than Naomi Campbell, reports Coco Perez.

The fall fashions feature a cute 1950s feline theme for women and ferocious Rottweiler theme for men. One can only contemplate the potential for pet accessories by the designer.

In this first photo, Campbell kneels on a large cushion, dressed entirely in black, looking as though she’s in the middle of yelling at the photographer, but – in keeping with the ferocious animal theme of the design house – it’s actually supposed to be a snarl.

An online video clip of the shoot, by hot photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, shows the models snarling for the camera while preening in their opulent designer wear.

Other images from the new advertising campaign, yet to be revealed, will feature the faces of Natalia Vodianova, Kristen McMenamy and Mariacarla Boscono.

Givenchy’s previous advertising campaign for spring-summer, featured albino model Stephen Thompson alongside favorite muses of Givenchy creative director Ricardo Tisci, Mariacarla Boscono, Natasha Poly, Daphne and Iris Strubegger Groeneveld.

The house of Givenchy was founded in 1952 by French designer Hubert de Givenchy. It is now the second largest apparel division of luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, after Dior.
