“I like it almost more than a win”: St-Louis loved seeing his players congratulate Hutson

I was at the Canadiens’ practice this morning in Brossard, and after practice, a special moment happened on the ice: all the players jumped on Lane Hutson to congratulate him on his new contract. It madefor great pictures. And it proves just how tight-knit the guys are:
Lane Hutson gets a turn on the ice at the end of practice to congratulate him on his new contract.
The reaction of the players afterwards is perfect too. One by one, the guys went over to give him a hug to say well done!

Martin St-Louis told Lane Hutson to go around the rink to share the news with his players. Because no, the guys weren’t aware of the situation before and during practice. The CH pilot didn’t want to talk about it because he wanted the team to be focused for practice. Obviously, the guys were happy for Hutson when they heard the news. St-Louis came back to that moment after practice and said he loved the way his players reacted. That sentence speaks for itself, after all:
I’m not surprised by the way the players reacted, and I like it almost more than a win. I think Lane was happy to go out for a spin, he likes to skate.

The culture of the Habs has changed, and right now you can see how much fun everyone has in the organization. The guys get on the ice 30 minutes before practice because they like spending time together, they’re there for each other when there’s news like Hutson’s contract.it helps when there’s a nice environment within a team.
“It was like celebrating an overtime goal by jumping off the bench.”

It’s also sure to be one less distraction around the club. The guys will never say it.and now that all that’s settled, it’s time to get down to business! [spacer title=’Overtime’] – Oh…
Brady Tkachuk wasn’t precautionary. Kept out because he wasn’t able to play. Being evaluated now #Sens Injury was from cross-check from Josi

The solution to the Canadiens’ power play seems very simple to @belly2020.
