I’m not bitter

Scott Weiland does not begrudge members of Velvet Revolver for kicking him out of the group.

Rocker Scott Weiland says he refuses to feel bitter about his departure from Velvet Revolver. Starpulse.com reports he wishes nothing but the best for his former bandmates.

Weiland was booted from the band in April 2008 following a series of blowups with band founders Slash, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan.

The story has been the source of a lot of talk and generated a lot of speculation. However, Weiland wanted to clarify things by claiming that he did not begrudge or harbour ill feelings toward his former bandmates. He added that he hopes they can turn the page.

He said: "It was a great experience until near the end. I think we made some great music – and I actually prefer our second album to our first – and I don’t hold any resentment towards any of the guys in the band. I really wish them all the best."

It’s been two years now and Velvet Revolver still has not found a singer to replace Weiland.

About a year ago, bassist Duff McKagan talked about finding a new singer but it didn’t work out in the end. He added that the band is still searching for the right fit.
