Injured, Tommy Lee Leaves Mötley Crüe

Tommy Lee held out for five songs at the first show of Mötley Crüe‘s new tour before having to leave the stage in pain.

The rock band’s drummer was on the highly anticipated Mötley Crüe reunion tour at Atlanta’s Truist Park last night (June 16). The band shared the stage with rock legends Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

Tommy Lee took the stage against medical advice, suffering from broken ribs. However, after five songs, the pain was too great to continue.

“You all ain’t gonna believe this sh*t, I broke four ribs!” the drummer wrote on social media after his performance.

The 59-year-old musician also told his audience on stage that he broke four ribs 14 days ago.

Tommy Lee later revealed that he had asked Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne drummer Tommy Clufetos to save the show until he was “back to 100%”.

Mötley Crüe‘s tour with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts continues through September. The Canadian cities of Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton have just been added to the itinerary and are the only ones currently on the schedule in the country.

Tommy Lee is currently the unwilling star of the documentary Pam & Tommy , which chronicles some of the rough spots in his life alongside Pamela Anderson on Hulu and Disney+ channels.
