INXS Signs New Record Deal

Australian rock group INXS has signed their first record contract since the death of Michael Hutchence in 1997.

The rock stars of the 80s will now be working with Sony-BMG, and plan to make their first record together since the suicide of their lead singer.

The new disc will feature a lead singer that will be chosen from the reality show Rock Star: INXS, in which singers vie for the open position in the band.

“We’re very happy to be joining the Epic family and can’t wait to get back into the studio to record again,” said INXS band member Andrew Farriss. “It’s been too long. Everyone in the band is truly looking forward to the months ahead and this great new chapter in our career.”
