According to the National Enquirer, Richie plans to marry Joel Madden, the singer of the band Good Charlotte. On February 17, the couple almost married in Vegas, but changed their minds.
A source explained, "But Nicole wanted her dad’s blessing so they went straight to see him when they got back to Los Angeles."
Madden was reportedly very nervous to ask Lionel Richie for his daughter’s hand in marriage.
Richie, 25, and Madden, 28, are now planning a wedding in Mexico with their families and friends.
