Vacationeer Productions, which is producing the independent comedy It’s A Disaster, announced today (July 15) that Julia Stiles and America Ferrera have signed on for the project.
Written and directed by Todd Berger (The Scenesters), the film follows four couples gathered for Sunday brunch, who are trapped together in a house as the world may be about to end.
In addition to Berger, his comedy group colleagues The Vacationeers will also star in the film. Filming set to begin this fall.
Julia Stiles recently received an Emmy nomination for her performance in the Showcase TV series Dexter. She is also awaiting a release date sometime next year for the film Between Us, and will shortly star opposite Brendan Fraser and Christina Hendricks for drama Seconds of Pleasure.
America Ferrera, recently married to Ryan Piers Williams on June 27, can be seen in the TV series The Good Wife this year. She will also reprise the voice of Astrid in How To Train Your Dragon 2, due in theaters June 20, 2014.
