Ivan Demidov jumped on the ice in Brossard this morning

The Canadiens lost to the Leafs last night.

And after the match, the club announced that there was a day off on the menu for the guys today.

But that didn’t stop Ivan Demidov – who didn’t play last night – from jumping onto the ice. He took his first strides on Quebec soil.

Roles are reversed: today, it was colleague Charles-Alexis Brisebois who was on site in Brossard to monitor Demidov.

He posted a video on Twitter where we see Demidov doing laps on the ice, as he was just getting on the ice:

Notably, without much surprise, several fans showed up to see Demidov skate this morning.

Also notable is that Lane Hutson and Arber Xhekaj skated as well:
