It’s May. The first elimination round is now a thing of the past, and at last I don’t have to worry about the cursed Boston Bruins.
Hopefully, the sun will start to shine and games at Stade Saputo will soon be played in front of fans wearing shorts, not winter coats. #LateSpring
And then come the vacations.
Job vacations, school vacations… and vacations for the radio crews, who only work during the fall, winter and spring surveys. And never during the summer!
BPM Sports will go into summer programming on June 10, with Éric Hoziel taking over the 9:00 a.m. to noon slot and Maxime Van Houtte replacing Georges and Gonzo from noon to 3:00 p.m.
Max Lalonde, Gilbert Delorme and Anthony Desaulniers, as well as Martin Lemay, will be on air for one more week.
Anthony Marcotte will be hosting the morning show from June 17, and will do so for most of the summer. He will leave his place to Sébastien Goulet for the two weeks of construction.
Greg Lanctot will replace Martin Lemay from June 17 to August 23 .
Max Van Houtte will only be at lunchtime for three weeks. He will then be replaced by Jean-Philippe Bertrand (TVA Sports) for five weeks, and then by Pat Laprade, who was on last summer.

J-P Bertrand is currently employed by TVA Sports as a sports event describer. In particular, he describes baseball and tennis. He previously hosted the podcast La Dose alongside Charles-Antoine Sinotte.
More and more TVA Sports personalities are finding their way to BPM. Alexandre Panneton, the station’s current CEO, is a former Québecor employee.
Arnaud Gascon-Nadon will take over from Éric Hoziel for the first three full weeks of August.
In brief :
6:00 to 9:00: Anthony Marcotte, then Sébastien Goulet, then Anthony Marcotte again.
9:00 to noon: Eric Hoziel, then Arnaud Gascon-Nadon.
Noon to 3:00 pm: Maxime Van Houtte, then J-P Bertrand, then Pat Laprade.
3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Greg Lanctot.

I’m looking for the next regular schedule right now. The time slot most likely to undergo changes would be 9:00 to noon, and some people on the summer schedule could be offered a mandate for the fall, but nothing is set in stone to that effect yet.
Note, as you’ve probably noticed, that it will be the summer schedule, and not the regular one, that will cover the draft and the opening of the free agent market. That’s what happens every year.
Montreal radio’s regulars go on vacation in mid-June. BPM Sports is therefore adapting its agreements to this reality.
Oh yes… the chances of the Alouettes leaving Cogeco for BPM Sports have diminished considerably in recent weeks. We should expect an official announcement from the Alouettes in the next few days.

– Several players are injured and several regulars will be sidelined (rested) tomorrow morning in Hamilton. Will the Montreal CF be surprised by the Hamilton Forge? #CanadianChampionship
Laurent Courtois: Sosa, Iankov, Opoku, Lassi and Saliba won’t be available tomorrow morning in Hamilton.
Neither will Coccaro or Martinez, of course.
Can’t wait to see if Breza, Illiadis, Jabang, Wanyama (!!) and Biello have a chance to perform well tomorrow. #CFMontreal
