Jack and Jay-Z share a bromance

The kings of collaboration finally work together.

In collaboration with Jay-Z. In collaboration with Jack White. Here’s two sentences that have been added to music news articles a lot over the last ten years. The two recently got together for the first time. Now we will read Jack White in collaboration with Jay-Z or vice versa…

Each has always been full of praise for the other. Jack White calls Jay-Z’s work "simply incredible" while the rapper labelled White a "renaissance man."

In an interview with GQ magazine, Jack White said, "I just did a record with Jay-Z. We did a song together a few weeks ago. It was incredible. I played him something that I’ve been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it. It’s unbelievable-sounding."

Jay-Z’s recent album The Blueprint 3 has collaborations between the rapper and several indie rock stars.

Jack White stays busy with his three bands and managing his own record label. He is also promoting the Under The Great Northern Lights DVD. It’s a documentary on the White Stripes tour of Canada in the summer of 2007.

No release date has been given for the track Jack White recorded with Jay-Z.
