Jack Black Deserts Man-Witch

Jack Black backed out of the film Man-Witch.

The Hollywood Reporter indicates that actor Jack Black has decided to quit the cast of the film Man-Witch. Warner Bros. confirmed the news of the actor’s departure, however refused to comment further.

Black accepted the role last fall. It was a first-time collaboration between the funny man and Todd Phillips, the brain behind the comedies, Road Trip, Old School, and Borat. In addition to writing the screenplay, Phillips is also the director and a producer of the upcoming film.

Man-Witch tells the story of a guy who discovers that he is a witch and decides to become a teacher at an all-girl witch school.

In spite of Black’s absence, the project will undoubtedly move forward.

Jack Black will star in the action comedy, Tropic Thunder, expected to hit theatres on August 15.
