Johnson’s fans can listen to a track from his fourth album, Sleep Through the Static, by downloading If I Had Eyes on iTunes. Billboard reported that fans who buy the album before it goes on sale, will get this song for free.
The singer explained, "Some of the songs on this album are about making babies. Some of the songs are about raising them. Some of the songs are about the world that these children will grow up in; a world of war and love, and hate, and time and space. Some of the songs are about saying goodbye to people I love and will miss."
The album will be launched on February 5, under the record label, Brushfire/Universal. It was created with solar energy in a green studio in Los Angeles. Johnson will start his tour on Earth Day, April 22, at the Kokua Festival in Hawaii.
