According to Variety, Walt Disney Pictures announced during a press conference in Los Angeles the forthcoming film projects the company will be endorsing, and one of them includes the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean.
Johnny Depp seems to be Disney’s latest fetish. In addition to resuming his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the film, whose details are being kept top secret, the actor also has two other projects lined up with the studio.
He will also be playing the Mad Hatter in the new version of Alice in Wonderland, for which he will reunite with director Tim Burton. Depp will also star as the main character in The Lone Ranger.
In the meantime, we will see Johnny Depp next year on the big screen in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and in Public Enemies, slated for release on July 1, 2009.
