Jack White has hands full with two bands

Since White Stripes dashed, musician keeps busy with The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather

Earlier this month, Jack White and his ex-wife Meg White officially announced the end of their musical duo The White Stripes.

Since 2007, The White Stripes experienced long periods of inactivity while Meg White dealt with her paralyzing stage fright. During that time Jack White created two additional bands, The Raconteurs in 2005, and The Dead Weather in 2009, and launched three albums.

After the demise of the White Stripes, Jack White said in an interview with Q magazine, that he was not planning on joining any other bands.

"I won’t join another band again," Jack revealed. "Three’s enough for one lifetime. If I can’t say it in any of these bands, then I’ll say it by myself".

The musician revealed that he has recorded a track with Jay-Z, but doesn’t know when or if it will be released, and he is busy tending to his record label Third Man.

In addition to playing in his groups, White can often be found producing albums, such as his wife Karen Elson’s debut, The Ghost Who Walks, or the latest installment by the legendary Wanda Jackson, The Party Ain’t Over.
